MINNEAPOLIS — June 9, 2010 — Bloom Health has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Minneapolis based benefits brokerage firm Corporate Consulting, LLC., which is affiliated with Monterey Benefits. With this acquisition, Bloom expands its full-service brokerage capabilities and adds significantly to its client base in 2010. The company also announced that Mike Fortner, the owner of Corporate Consulting LLC, has joined the Bloom sales team. Mike has more than 15 years of experience in the health-benefits industry, and has worked with employers of all sizes to help them solve their health-benefits needs. Mike has held leadership positions in sales at HealthEquity, the Stanton Group, and Great-West. He holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and serves on the Board of Directors of several non-profit companies.
